Tye Merritt is a Senior Counsel with SLG. Mrs. Merritt practices in the areas of unlawful detainer litigation and real estate law, with a particular emphasis on rent control matters and post foreclosure evictions. She is widely recognized for her pragmatic, results-oriented approach, combining strategic risk assessment with a focus on efficient, cost-effective resolutions. Whether negotiating favorable settlements or advancing matters through trial, Mrs. Merritt delivers disciplined and effective advocacy.

With over 19 years of experience, Mrs. Merritt has represented Fortune 500 banks, hotels, and financial institutions throughout California. She is committed to safeguarding her clients’ business interests and navigating complex legal challenges with precision, diligence, and unwavering professionalism.

Mrs. Merritt earned her Juris Doctor from UWLA School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was named to the National Dean’s List. Mrs. Merritt has been a member of the California State Bar since 2005.

Beyond the courtroom, Mrs. Merritt has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, including her role as a former Board Member of the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino, where she supported initiatives aimed at empowering underserved communities and advancing economic stability.
